Vehicle equipment

Know what is in the vehicle before you start packing again

Caravanios gives camping equipment a clear status and location, so the next trip starts with what you already know about the vehicle.

Turn storage knowledge into useful status

Record the item once, update it when something changes and review missing equipment before a trip.

  • Mark an item as in the vehicle, at home, missing or needing restock.
  • Add the storage location or a short note when it helps another authorised member.
  • Use trip preparation to spot equipment that needs attention before departure.
Caravanios lists the gear of a camping vehicle by area, with each item marked as stowed, missing or left at home.

What inventory is good for

Shared vehicle knowledge

Authorised camping-group members can see the current equipment status for the vehicle.

Restocking

Keep “needs restocking” separate from equipment that is genuinely missing.

Trip preparation

Use inventory as the equipment reference, not as another copy of the departure checklist.

Example: the gas adapter is not another task

Mark the adapter as stored in the rear locker. If it goes missing, update its equipment status; create a task only when someone must replace it before departure.

Inventory is not a weight or safety system

Caravanios does not calculate payload, certify loading, monitor stock automatically or decide whether equipment is safe to use.

Questions about inventory

Does this also work for caravans and campervans?

Yes. The same inventory idea supports motorhomes, caravans and campervans.

Can I record a storage location?

Yes. A location and note can help the group find an item in the vehicle.

Is inventory public when I share a trip?

No. Vehicle inventory is not included in the public trip link.

Check one equipment category before the next trip

Start with the items that are hardest to find or easiest to forget.
