Caravanios support

Help & Contact

Find the right next step for accounts, camping groups, routes, trips, budgets, public links, Pro and privacy.

Contact

Email kontakt@caravanios.com. Include the platform, app version, affected screen, approximate time, what you expected and what happened. Do not send a password, deletion code, full payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

No voluntary response-time guarantee is offered. Privacy rights and store requests follow the applicable statutory or store process.

Account and sign-in

I cannot sign in

  1. Check that you are using the same email address and sign-in method as before.
  2. For password sign-in, use the password-reset action and check spam or junk folders.
  3. For Apple or Google sign-in, confirm that the provider account is available on the device.
  4. If it still fails, email support with the platform, app version and account email. Never send the password or verification code.

I think someone accessed my account

Change the password where applicable and contact support with Security in the subject. Also disable any invitation or public trip link that may have been shared unintentionally.

Camping groups and invitations

A camping group is the shared context for members, vehicles, equipment, lists and trips. Only invite people who should be able to access the group's shared data. An invitation link should be treated as confidential and replaced or revoked if it reaches the wrong person.

An invitation does not open correctly

Vehicles, inventory and checklists

Add a vehicle to the relevant camping group, then use inventory for equipment and checklists for preparation or recurring tasks. Status and edits can be shared with authorised group members.

If an item seems missing, first check that the correct camping group and vehicle are selected and let synchronisation finish. If a photo will not upload, confirm the app has the requested photo or camera permission and try with a stable connection. Avoid images containing personal documents or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Find campsites along a route

  1. Enter a start and destination; add waypoints only where they matter to the route.
  2. Choose the maximum distance a campsite may be from the calculated route.
  3. Optionally choose campsite properties. An active property filter includes only places where that detail is known and matches.
  4. Calculate the route and request campsite suggestions.
  5. Compare candidates and save the stops you want to keep.

A missing detail means unknown, not “no”. Route fit is not a quality or vehicle-suitability guarantee. Confirm opening, availability, price, access, dimensions, pet rules and other important details with the campsite before travelling.

Why are there many results or a result near the start?

The search covers the whole route corridor, including its start. Reduce the corridor to narrow the list, or sort along the route to review results from start to destination. If route points or radius change, run the campsite search again so the suggestions match the new route.

No campsites are shown

A saved route plan can exist before any campsite search has run. “Not searched yet” is different from a completed search with no matches. Opening a plan does not itself consume a search; explicitly start the search when you want fresh suggestions.

Route plan or trip?

A route plan keeps a route and intended stops before travel dates are fixed. A trip adds dates and the working context for preparation, costs, travel-day use, public sharing and later recap.

Active route plans and campsite searches have separate limits. Archived plans do not count against the active-plan limit. A short “too many calculations” delay is a technical rate limit, not a Pro allowance; wait for the time shown and try again.

If you would rather see the whole sequence first, the fictional example trip runs from the route to the travel day.

Trips, offline use and recap

Use a trip to order stops, add dates, prepare checks and work with the trip budget. Before travel, a Pro member can choose Save for offline use while connected. Caravanios then creates one checked package containing the trip, route, stops and preparation information. A complete saved package remains readable if Pro later expires; Pro is required for a new download or update.

The offline package does not include offline map tiles or offline editing of the route, stop order, participants or expenses. It is not turn-by-turn navigation and does not continuously track your movements.

Completing a trip moves it to completed trips; its stops, moments and recap remain available. Reopen it later if the trip needs to become active again. Moments are stored with the trip and synchronised through the service for signed-in use; exporting is a separate action, not the only way content leaves the device.

Trip budget and settlements

Add the people participating in the trip, record an expense with payer, currency and split, and review the calculated balances. A traveller can be represented in the budget without having an app account. Authorised trip members can see the shared budget context.

A settlement only documents money moved outside Caravanios. The app does not perform or verify a bank transfer. Original amounts and balances remain separated by currency. Where a reviewed conversion is available, Caravanios can store its reference rate and date so the calculation remains understandable; it is not a promise that a bank will use the same exchange rate. Both apps group balances by currency and offer a settlement action for every currency section, including a foreign one; no exchange rate is needed to record a settlement in the currency it was paid in. Where a reviewed conversion is available, an additional converted settlement action appears next to it.

Public trip links

When an authorised member enables public sharing, Caravanios creates a secret link to a reduced trip snapshot. In a current group, the owner can manage public sharing. In older camping groups, a member who already has an owner or admin role may also have that permission.

The public view can contain trip title, route, period, distance and stops. It excludes private budget data, balances, settlements, private notes, camping-group member email addresses, checklists, inventory and moments. Anyone with the link can open it. Disable the link from the trip when it should no longer be public; disabling it invalidates access to that snapshot.

Pro, App Store and Google Play

The app explains the current Pro feature scope and limits before purchase. The relevant store confirms the product, price, billing period, trial where offered, renewal terms and other purchase details it displays. If a completed purchase is not reflected, confirm the device is online, that the correct store account is active, then use the app's restore-purchases action where available.

Apple or Google manages billing, cancellation and refunds. Uninstalling Caravanios or deleting the Caravanios account does not cancel an active store subscription. Do not send support payment-card data; send the platform, product, approximate purchase time and Caravanios account email.

Account deletion and privacy requests

If you can sign in, use App settings → Delete account. The app sends a short-lived confirmation code to the account email before carrying out the deletion process. If you cannot sign in, or you need access, correction, restriction, portability or another privacy action, use Data Deletion and Privacy Requests.

The web form creates a request for identity verification and review; it does not delete automatically. Shared budget records or legally required records may need to be separated, anonymised or retained. See the Privacy Notice for details.

Report incorrect data or public content

Report a campsite detail that may affect safety, a closed or restricted access route, exposed private information, unlawful content or content used without permission. Email kontakt@caravanios.com with the link, trip or campsite, the affected detail, the expected correction and a source where possible. Do not include a password or unnecessary personal information.
