Caravanios is a camping app for iPhone, iPad and Android. On the road you capture moments, a few lines and, if you like, a photo. Back home, you build the recap and send it as an image or a PDF.

Capture moments on the road
Moments are the lines and photos you capture on the road. They belong to a trip, your route with its dates and your camping group, the people you camp with (travelling alone, that is just you). So start by setting up the trip.
Then something happens that you want to remember: the first swim of the summer, or the wrong turn that led to a better campsite. Tap “Capture a moment” in your trip and give it a headline. Under “What happened” you write a few lines, or a lot more.
Add a photo if you like, and pick the stop where it happened, the campsite or place on your trip. Then set the date of the moment.
No signal at the campsite? Save the moment anyway. It waits on your phone and uploads automatically once you’re back online.
Build the recap of your trip
Back home, you decide what goes into the recap. Open the trip, tap “Build the recap” and choose the moments you want to keep. Then write a few lines for the opening and the closing, so it starts and ends in your own words.
Tap “Edit the recap” whenever you want to change it. Take Sofie, a camper from Ghent: on the Sunday evening after her trip to Brittany, she picks six moments and writes the opening.
Share the recap as an image or a PDF
Want to show the recap to someone? Create an image or a PDF from it and choose which texts and photos go in. Then tap “Share image” or “Share PDF” and send it wherever you like.
Both are made on your phone, and only the texts and photos you choose leave your device. The rest of the trip, like the costs, stays private.

Who sees your moments
Apart from the image or PDF you send, your moments and the recap stay in your camping group.
You can also share your trip with a public link, a page where friends see your route and stops. Your moments aren’t part of it.
The numbers of your trip
The recap tells the story of a trip, the numbers add the facts. Every trip shows its numbers: the kilometres you drove, the nights, the stops, the countries you visited and what it all cost.
What is free, what needs Pro
Moments, the recap and the numbers of each trip are free. A few extras need Pro, the paid Caravanios subscription. One subscription covers everyone in your camping group.
A camping group gets five moment photos at no cost; with Pro you can add more. A recap holds up to 40 moments, or up to 100 with Pro. Pro also shows the numbers in more detail and adds a trip PDF, a different file from the recap PDF, which stays free.
Common questions
Is the recap the same as the review of my camping year?
No. The recap belongs to one trip and holds the moments you picked. Caravanios also puts together a review of your camping year, which is free. You can share it as a link that stays open for 90 days.
What is in the trip PDF?
Your stops, kilometres and costs in each currency. It needs Pro and appears once the trip has started. The recap PDF holds the moments you picked instead.
Can I use the recap on the web?
No. You capture moments, build the recap and create the image or PDF in the app on iPhone, iPad and Android.
